87 Series Digital Clocks
The 87/232 Serial Display Platform with added 87/708 Real Time Clock option installed form an extremely powerful large digital display that offers exceptional flexibility in both function and design. Standard features include your choice of 4", 6", 8" and 12" tall numeric digits in a 7-segment formation. Time can be set with a PC using any general purpose serial communication utility, our Windows® based Serial 97 or our specialized Clock 87 which allows programming hourly offsets for up to 24 different time zones. It can also be set with a PLC, a master clock or using our 87/003 Hand Held Terminal. The Real Time Clock Option adds an RTC circuit with integrated battery that lasts more than 10 years, allowing time keeping to continue when power is removed. Standard accuracy is specified to be within 1 minute per month while the high accuracy option is specified to be within 1 minute per year. Since the digital clocks are based on the powerful 87/232 platform they can be easily networked for consistent and accurate company wide time display.
