77 Series Digital Displays

The 77 Series - A Legacy of Durability

Vorne 77 Series large digital displays have been a fixture in manufacturing plants for over 25 years. In 2008 the 77 Series became a legacy product replaced by the newer, more advanced and in many cases less expensive 87 Series.

All 77 Series production monitoring and data display functions are supported by the 87 Series. Additionally, 87 Series products offer a much wider selection of product options and features.

If you are currently a 77 Series customer, don’t worry we have you covered. We continue to offer our world-class repair service and new units are available for reorder. Call 877-767-LEAN for price and availability.

Popular Applications

The following represents a brief list of popular applications:

Application Description
Total Count The 77/256M Event Counter provides accurate counting of product, events or literally anything from a simple sensor, switch or PLC output. On board non-volatile memory saves the value in the event of a power loss and large digits ensure everyone has access to real-time production data.
Current Rate In order to maximize efficiency production equipment must run at the target speed. Too slow and you won't meet goal; too fast and you overstress equipment or cause quality issues. The 77/415 Rate Monitor displays the current rate from a simple sensor, switch or encoder. Viewability to 100' and beyond allows you to track all of your lines at a glance.
Run Time The Vorne 77/705 Elapsed Timer can display downtime, uptime or any timed event in a wide range of standard and custom formats. An excellent time management tool to show downtime, machine uptime, setup and changeover time, cycle time or almost any timed event.
Serial Input Small LCD displays standard on many scales and control panels may seem inexpensive until you factor in the time lost having to walk over to the control panel just to see them. Vorne 77/232 Serial Input displays show serial data from scales, master clocks, PLC's and nearly any RS232/RS485 device on large LED digits visible to 100 feet and more.
Analog Input Most analog output devices are too small to be seen on the factory floor. The 77/719 Analog Input display allows you to take the most common analog signals (4-20MA, 1/10V, etc.) and display the value so it can be seen up to 100' or more. Temperature, pressure, humidity, press speed and a host of other process variables can be seen where they are needed.
BCD Input Load up to six digits of BCD digital data directly to the 24-bit input port of the 77/712 BCD Input display. A great large display solution when data is available in your PLC.

Product Description

77/256M Event Counter - Totalize inputs from a single input. Optional DIP-switch presetable scale factor from 0.0001 to 9,999 allows you to adjust the value being displayed. Power down non-volatile memory prevents loss of the last count value. A handy on-board power supply powers sensors directly from the 77/256M display.

77/415 Rate Display - Display rate per hour, minute; optional thumbwheel or DIP switch presetable scale factor from 0.0001 to 9,999 provides exceptionally wide range of rates. A versatile input works with virtually any output device including encoders.

77/705 Elapsed Timer - Available as a millisecond, second, minute, or hour timer with an optional decimal point. Two input operation modes provide great application flexibility. Available in standard contiguous digits or clock format at no additional charge.

77/232 Serial Display - RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485 communications. Five baud rates (300 to 9600) and 98 unique addresses combine with simple DIP-switch selectable protocol to make setup a snap.

77/708 Slave Clock - Four or six digit display; 12 or 24 hour format. This unit can be factory configured to display data from several common master clock systems including Arbiter and TruTime.

77/719 Analog Input Display - Simple DIP-switch scaling setup. Various standard current and voltage analog input ranges. Over range analog input values are indicated by flashing nines on the display.

77/712 BCD Input Display - Accepts up to 6 digits of BCD data using parallel, multiplexed, or non-strobed input modes. Board-mounted DIP-switch allows selection of true low or true high operation. Perfect for use with PLC's where serial communication is not available.
