Multi-Line Message Displays
Itasca, IL - Vorne Industries is pleased to offer the 2100 series of low-cost, powerful two and four line alphanumeric message displays.
Specifically designed for industrial applications, each unit employs high visibility vacuum fluorescent display technology. The 2140PC has two lines of 11mm characters; the 2180PC has four lines of 9mm characters. Both units have twenty, 5X7 dot matrix characters per line.
Up to 1024 messages may be stored in reliable 32K flash memory. Messages are recalled and real time data embedded via the universal (TTL to 30 VDC logic) 18 bit parallel port (16 data lines, 2 control lines) or through either of the full duplex serial ports (RS-422 or RS-232). The serial ports also allow master/slave operation with multiple Vorne displays or communicate with virtually any other serial device. All three ports employ optical isolation for optimal data integrity in electrically noisy environments.
The front panel features a 3/16" optical quality Lexan® lens that protects the bright, light emitting display in rough industrial conditions. Three function keys can be used to trigger serial data transmission, control the on-board relay or index through simple set-up menus (in set-up mode).
Free with every display, Vorne Display Pro® 3, Windows® based message programming software is designed to provide easy point and click message creation. Utilizing our unique Quick Edit screens, VDP3 also provides instant on screen message simulation, and extensive on-line help.
All units utilize a highly efficient switching power supply, available with either 120 VAC or 24 VDC primary power.
