New High-Accuracy Industrial Clocks
Itasca, IL - Vorne Industries is pleased to announce the 708 HA Series, a new family of 4" to 12" high-accuracy time keeping displays designed specifically for industrial applications.
Many plants and facilities lose productivity to the common and everyday problem of employees working from an assortment of inaccurate and non-synchronized time sources. The 708 HA Series provides a simple, flexible and cost-effective solution to this problem by displaying precise, synchronized, easily viewed time throughout an industrial facility.
Precision time keeping is achieved even in the absence of primary power, with new technology that combines a micro-power precision oscillator with sophisticated temperature compensation circuitry - resulting in digital master clocks with a typical free-running accuracy of better than one minute per year.
Exceptional viewing distance is provided by an advanced display design featuring specially selected PLCC2 surface mount LEDs. Super-bright AlGaAs red (or optionally AlInGaP yellow) LEDs form digits of up to 12" with viewing distances of 400 feet and beyond.
An optically isolated RS-422/RS-485 communication port allows up to 32 slave displays to be connected to a single 708 HA master, forming a complete synchronized clock display network. The powerful built-in communications translator allows time-of-day to be updated from virtually any RS-232 or RS-422 serial data stream including time clocks, GPS or WWV receivers, computers, or rack mount master clocks.
FREE Windows® based Vorne TimeAlign software can drive a network of 708 HA clock displays and supports up to 12 independent time zones for world time applications. As most networked PCs automatically sync to server time, TimeAlign also makes it easy to synchronize all plant clocks to the same network time source.
Common applications for the 708 HA Series include stand-alone clocks, independent master clocks driving networks of slave displays, and intermediary master clocks placed between a time source and slave displays.
As a stand-alone clock, the 708 HA provides a simple “plug-and-play” solution for accurate timekeeping. A 10-year rated lithium battery provides power backup for all time keeping circuitry enabling true “maintenance free” performance.
As an “independent” master clock, the 708 HA can drive up to 32 slave displays, all synchronized to the same high accuracy time source.
As an “intermediary” master clock, the 708 HA can serve as a highly accurate backup time source and slave clock driver, automatically switching to internal time keeping if the host processor becomes unavailable, while seamlessly continuing to drive a network of slave displays.
708 HA master clocks are available now and are priced from $626.00 each in single quantity. Slave clock displays are also available.
