Machine Builders

Unique Challenges

Machine builders, as with most manufacturers, have to find new ways to add value to the products they provide. Challenges include having to integrate their products with existing equipment, producing machines that are easier to operate and quick to changeover while keeping downtime to a minimum. Additionally, production machinery has now become highly-integrated in the plant informational hierarchy.

A proven, cost-effective method for adding value to production machinery is to provide real-time process feedback. Digital displays provide instant feedback of critical production metrics while message displays keep operators informed of process faults and run time variables. The applications below include a brief sampling of machine builder applications we've developed and the customers that we've helped.

Popular Applications

Panel message
APPLICATION

Panel message displays utilize bright, light-emissive VFD display technology to provide exceptional viewing distance, far exceeding LCD panels, CRTs and other common technologies. Extended viewing distances provide better value by keeping operators informed over a wider area instead of harnessed to a panel.

PRODUCT

2000 Series, 2100 Series

Message marquee
APPLICATION

Larger machines often require operators to work over a larger area. Message marquees keep operators informed of critical process variables, process faults and more. Easily integrated into almost any control system, large marquees add value by providing real-time information that informs, alerts and motivates.

PRODUCT

M1000 2" to 4.5", GY2200 2", XL800 Alphanumeric

Data display (fault number, count, rate, temperature, etc.)
APPLICATION

Custom machinery often provides some sort of data output to a touch panel or similar device but requires the operator to remain close to the output device. Data displays are easily integrated to a variety of PLC or field devices for large format, real-time data visibility. Typical applications include process step number, process fault number to any PLC variable.
